It is 10 weeks until Christmas which means about 11 weeks until new year, have you got your 2012 diary on order yet? If like me just the thought of filling your Calender/diary with entires gets the heart racing then you may be interested in 2 announcements that were made this week.
The first is that Steps are back together and this week announced tour dates for 2012! What? I hear you cry, aren't they too old to sing the cheesy pop fluff that they performed back in the 90's? Well apparently not and from the 2nd April you can catch their matching lycra and robotic dance moves in all its re-rehearsed glory.
Tickets went on sale this morning and there are dates available across the UK and Ireland. Fingers crossed it's not a tragedy... (oh come on I had to).
The 2nd 2012 event announced this week which got me very excited here at 2F3 and tickets were purchased for as quickly as my dodgy broadband and the temperamental website would let me was the Warner brothers Studio Tour 'The Making of Harry Potter.' Finally us muggles don't need to travel all the way to the Harry Potter Wizarding World Theme Park in Orlando Florida to experience a little bit of magic.
The tour includes a 3 hour journey through the studio where the most successful movie series ever was filmed including Dumbledore's office, Griffindor common room and the Great Hall.
As an avid Harry Potter fan I was so eager to snatch up some opening day tickets that I waited with bated breath watching the little Dobby clock countdown the minutes until the tickets were available to buy. However at launch time the website crashed due to site visits and my internet started playing up. I therefore more rationally bought 2 tickets for Friday 13th April much later in the day.
You can buy tickets for this much-anticipated attraction at http://www.wbstudiotour.co.uk/. Please be aware also that 'The Making of Harry Potter' is not a permanent fixture at Warner Brothers Studio as they will be able to exhibit whatever film is of the moment. I would imagine however that the 'The making of Harry Potter' will be around for a while.
Also if you fancy a Harry Potter bonanza of a day you could also follow the studio tour with the Harry Potter London locations tour. There are several different types which can be seen at http://britmovietours.com/bookings/harry-potter-london-tour/.
