X Factor style stakes

As the outside temperature drops and the dark nights draw in you know it's that time of year again. Yes that's right X factor has un-ashemadly taken over my life for yet another Winter season.

Last year there was as much hype over what Danni and Cheryl were wearing on Saturday and Sunday nights as there was surrounding the actual contestants. Commonly featured in magazines were the Danni versus Cheryl fash off and who looked best on the night features, so it came as no surprise that this year with two hot young new judges on the panel the fashion bar would need to be raised.

There has been much publicity over Tulisa and Kelly's outfits, although not as much as last year I would argue. Tulisa known for her more edgy and daring looks staying true to her urban roots shares a similar style to that of Cheryl and Danni choosing a more understated and simpler style. Never showing too much legs and chest at the same time and not afraid to stick on a pair of cat ears for Halloween which I love her for.

Kelly is slightly more LA in her style meaning there is no harm in showing off as much of her super toned figure as possible in short figure hugging bodycon dresses or low cut/ slashed to the waist dresses maxi's. Kelly's style is glossier, more polished and a little bit more over the top.

Personally I prefer Tulisa's style  mainly because she dresses in a more British way which I favour over the glossy look favoured in sunny California. However for me the true style winner has been Caroline Flack. Known for her more casual and effortless style both on I'm a celebrity Get me out of here...now! and the X factor auditions she has certainly stepped it up a gear for the glamorous X factor live weekend shows.

Rocking her affordable playsuits, peterpan collars and shoe boots, in my eyes she is the real style queen.

What do you think...?

Caroline wore a lovely playsuit with a white collar last week which I found out from the horse's mouth was from Primark no less, and she recently also wore this dress from Asos which has made it into my party dress collection. Perfect in time for Christmas nights out.

Caroline is also the new face of denim for the brand apricot which to me was relatively unknown. Abandoning her leggy look for something a bit more covered up she is certainly making her mark in the fashion world.
